Hill has been competing in the NASCAR national series from the moment of his 18th birthday. He won Rookie of the Year in his debut NASCAR Nationwide Series season. Since 2019, he has owned and operated Hill Motorsports, a full-time team competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Timmy is the son of former NASCAR driver Jerry Hill and brother of current NASCAR driver Tyler Hill.
