Carl Long started racing at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, NC and South Boston Speedway in 1983. After winning track championships at both facilities, the Roxboro, NC native advanced up the motorsports ladder, qualifying for his first Cup race in 2000. Carl made 174 starts across the three national series of NASCAR, including 26 in the premier series. He worked as a driver, crew chief, spotter, mechanic, competition director: any position needed to get his car to the track. In 2014, Carl co-founded Motorsports Business Management LLC, and he continues to lead and grow the organization today.

MBM Motorsports is an American professional stock car racing team based in Statesville, NC. MBM has competed part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2017 and full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series since 2015. The team has amassed more than 750 race starts between the two championships, providing opportunities to numerous drivers. MBM achieved its best finish in organization history in 2022 at Daytona (2nd place) and has now recorded seven Top 10s and 25 Top 15s.
