BlueSprig to sponsor #13 ARCA car driven by Armani Williams

STATESVILLE, N.C. (February 2, 2024) – Armani Williams and MBM Motorsports have teamed up to compete in the ARCA Menards Series season opening Daytona ARCA 200 at Daytona International Speedway with the #13 BlueSprig Toyota Camry.

The Grosse Pointe, Michigan native is back in ARCA for the first time since his Top 10 finish at Michigan International Speedway in 2020, but his ARCA roots run even deeper than his national series races that season. Armani competed in the ARCA Truck Pro Series as a 15-year-old, earning Top 5 finishes and runner-up in the Rookie of the Year battle.

Climbing the motorsports ladder, Armani added a Top 10 finish in the NASCAR Canada Series at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and already has seven starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. This Speedweeks will offer him his first chance to compete at the World Center of Racing, fresh off the back of a successful test at Daytona in January.

The 23-year-old is also making history as the first major professional stock car driver to race while openly diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This makes him an excellent ambassador for BlueSprig, a national leader in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with ASD. BlueSprig works with families and children of all ages, ranging from toddlers to 18-year-olds, to craft individualized plans to help improve socialization, communication, learning skills, and achieve developmental milestones. They have more than 140 centers across 17 states and continue to grow.

“This truly is a dream from my childhood to race at Daytona,” commented Armani.

“I’m thankful for the great people at BlueSprig that are with us on this journey and for the awesome work they do for families impacted by autism. I also want to thank Carl Long and MBM Motorsports for giving me this opportunity. Can’t wait… Let’s go, Autism Nation!”

MBM Motorsports is ready to help bring awareness to this important organization with a fast Toyota Camry for Speedweeks. MBM last competed in the ARCA Menards Series with Mark Thompson, qualifying in the Top 20 in both of his 2017 and 2018 starts at Daytona. The Statesville, North Carolina-based organization has also achieved considerable success in Daytona Beach in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, capturing a 2nd place finish in 2022 and a 3rd place finish in 2020.

Team owner Carl Long added, “We are proud to head back into the ARCA garage. Armani has a story to share. MBM is here to give this young man some valuable Daytona experience with the draft. I trust my long time crew member Richard Coleman with spotting. We borrowed Rick Markle from On Point Motorsports to chief the race. We have a lot of key pieces in place to put Armani in a very competitive  car. I am excited about this race and others to follow.”

ARCA teams hit the high banks of Daytona for the first time during Speedweeks on Thursday, February 15th for 50 minutes of practice. General Tire Pole Qualifying follows on Friday, February 16th, and the 200-mile race gets underway on Saturday, February 17th at 1:30 pm ET. FOX Sports 1 will carry live flag-to-flag coverage of the season opener.
