Forgotten Coast K9 sponsors #67 truck driven by Jeffrey Earnhardt
STATESVILLE, N.C. (May 15, 2024) – Motorsports Business Management (MBM Motorsports) announced today that Forgotten Coast K9 will be the team’s primary marketing partner in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200, Friday, May 24, 2024.
As a Non-Profit Organization, Forgotten Coast K9 aims to stop veteran and first responder suicide by helping provide education and service dogs to those in need. They are leading the way to stop the industry standard of someone waiting on a list for 3-5 years before they receive a service animal, while being with them every step of the way, even after they receive their new dog.
Chris O’Brian, founder and CEO of Forgotten Coast K9, stated: “We are excited to have Jeffrey Earnhardt representing us at Charlotte! His ongoing support of the Veteran and First Responder communities is well known and we can’t wait to get him behind the wheel of the #67 MBM Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in May. We’ll have a few service dogs for him to meet, and his fans to see.”
Jeffrey Earnhardt, driver of the #67 Forgotten Coast K9 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, is the grandson of the late Dale Earnhardt and shares a passion on and off the track. His unwavering support for the veteran and first responder community is appreciated by all.
“I’m really excited for this opportunity to represent Forgotten Coast K9 on track in the Craftsman Truck Series,” driver Jeffrey Earnhardt said. “What they do for our Veterans and First Responders means a lot to me, and I hope we can make them proud on one of the most important weekends of the year, Memorial Day weekend.”
Memorial Day is a day to remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice to our country, and those that served and passed away. Forgotten Coast K9 dedicates this race to all of our fallen heroes with special mention to Marine Corps Veteran and Scout Sniper, Staff Sergeant Craig Shafer, who passed away two years ago from stage 4 colon cancer. Craig will be Jeffrey Earnhardt’s Honorary Co-Driver, and joining us during the race in honor of Craig is Danielle Lent, who was not only Craig’s caretaker during his battle with cancer but his loving fiance that stood by his side until the very end.
Team owner Carl Long echoed those statements.
“I worked with Jeffrey at RWR in 2011 when he drove trucks. I have raced against him, his dad Kerry. His brother Bobby worked at MBM for me and drove a few races. Having him in our team’s return to trucks is exciting. Representing Forgotten Coast K9 on this Memorial Day weekend is an honor. I am looking forward to a good weekend!”
The Forgotten Coast K9 #67 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro hits the track Friday, May 24 for a late night race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The North Carolina Education Lottery 200 will begin at 8:30 pm ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM. Stay tuned to MBM Motorsports and Forgotten Coast K9 social media pages for more information!
