22-year-old will make first Pocono start with MBM Motorsports

STATESVILLE, N.C. (June 5, 2025) – Motorsports Business Management (MBM Motorsports) is returning to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series later this month with Tyler Tomassi piloting a Ford F-150 for the team in the MillerTech Battery 200 at Pocono Raceway on Friday, June 20.

The Craftsman Truck Series stars kick off a triple header weekend of NASCAR racing in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Tomassi, from West Greenwich, Rhode Island, will relish the opportunity to race in front of a northeastern crowd.

“I am very excited to tackle the Tricky Triangle with MBM in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Pocono has always been a special place to me. I have many memories of going there as a kid and dreaming of one day racing at this track. All the thanks in the world to Carl Long and his team for giving me this dream-fulfilling opportunity to race at Pocono,” said Tomassi.

The 22-year-old accrued considerable late model experience prior to arriving on the NASCAR scene. At Pocono, he will start his sixth career Craftsman Truck Series race and fourth of 2025. It will be the fifth different circuit he has competed on in Truck competition.

MBM Motorsports team owner Carl Long is looking forward to another opportunity for his team at the 2.5-mile triangle in Long Pond, PA. MBM scored a Top 10 finish at this track in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2020, when Timmy Hill finished 8th.

“Behind the wheel, we have seen Tyler’s development in his Truck Series starts this season, and MBM is well-positioned to help him continue his progression in the cockpit,” said Long. “This chassis is a truck we are preparing for Derek White. Tyler will get to pilot it first, as we get Derek’s NASCAR approval process moving along.”

White has competed previously at Daytona, Talladega, and other large ovals in NASCAR, but with his last start prior to this season in 2016, he must regain his clearance to race on tracks 1.5-miles in length and larger.

Confirmation of the vehicle number of Tomassi’s entry will be forthcoming at a later date. Sponsorship opportunities are available with the team for this event. Inquiries can be made by emailing info@mbmmotorsports.com.

FOX Sports 1 has live television coverage of the MillerTech Battery 200 on Friday, June 20, beginning at 5 pm ET.
